possible. appointments can often be made to see a doctor or nurse on the same day, although as we always ensure we give priority to urgent cases this is not always possible. please see the the doctors, nurses and health care assistants in three ways… by telephone on 0191 517 1055 calling in at the surgery in person online by registering for the service (please call in person at the surgery to register) and using the button to the left of this message. if you are too ill to attend the surgery you can request a home visit by telephoning the surgery on 0191 5171055 before 10.00am and asking to speak to a doctor. if you cannot be connected to a doctor immediately, the receptionist will take your telephone number and a doctor will call you back. we are happy to call mobiles if this is easier for you. the doctor will discuss your symptoms with you and decide on the most appropriate management for your condition. this may mean a house call or another course of action. we now have extended access to healthcare professionals through the primary care service, where patients can be seen throughout the day and on evenings and weekends please contact nhs111 or reception to book an appointment. this service is available at peterlee, easington and seaham. if you are confronted by a serious problem, such as acute chest pain or severe bleeding, call 999 for an ambulance before service (eps) is an nhs service which we are now using. this service sends prescriptions electronically to the pharmacy you choose to get your medicines or appliances from. please see this information
